CHAPLET OF DIVINE MERCY ON THE CITY STREETS OF THE WORLD!

On 28 September this year, at 3 p.m. you will not be alone!

Jesus, and nearly all the world, will be with you!

“It pleases Me to grant everything they ask of Me by saying the chaplet” (Diary of St Faustina, no. 1541). With this promise of Jesus in mind, we invite you to join countless people across the world to pray together the Divine Mercy Chaplet on the streets of the world.

Oh, how much today’s world needs God’s Mercy! (John Paul II).

The prayer will take place on 28 September 2013, at 3 p.m., on the anniversary of the beatification of

Fr Michał Sopoćko, the confessor of St Faustina. It is organised by the Spark of the Divine Mercy Group, working in the Jesuit church in Łódź, under the honorary patronage of the Archbishop Marek Jędraszewski of Łódź.

Thanks to the assistance of the director of the prison chaplains in Poland, a member of the International Commission for Catholic Prisons Ministry, the invitation will reach inmates in various prisons in Poland and abroad.

For a year now we have been organising this event in collaboration with our brothers and sisters from Haiti whom we met during our joint Chaplet saying held in 2009, just before the tragedy that afflicted the country. In 2011, Poland hosted Bishop Joseph Lafontant from Portau-Prince, Father Serge Chadic and a delegation of secular worshippers of Divine Mercy from Haiti, with Gloria Baboun in charge of it. The visit bear the fruit of joint organisation of the‘Chaplet of the Divine Mercy on the streets of Cities of the World!’.

Thanks to the help of the Divine Word missionaries with the translation of this booklet into many other languages, our invitation can reach even the most remote corners of the world.

A few moments of prayer for the lost, poor, homeless, unemployed and without means to live, can make a whole lot of difference! It can transform the darkness of despair into the bright ray of hope for the Divine Mercy for us and for the whole world!
